The CEH-focused internship at Decodes Lab Ltd. was a crucial step in translating theoretical knowledge into practical, real-world security skills. This experience solidified my understanding of the adversarial perspective, which is vital for building truly resilient systems.

1. Linux Administration & Automation Environment

• Long-Term Arch Linux Maintenance: Maintaining a long-term Arch Linux setup for personal and professional use is a continuous learning exercise in system stability and troubleshooting, far exceeding the complexity of managing pre-configured distributions.
• Bash Scripting for Efficiency: Development of numerous custom Bash scripts to automate tasks such as system backups, log analysis, and application deployment, showcasing a deep understanding of shell programming and system calls.
• Docker for Development: Utilizing Docker to create consistent, reproducible development environments, which is a best practice for modern software development and system integration.

2. Network & Security Practice Lab

• Home Lab Environment: Designed and configured a dedicated home lab using virtual machines and physical hardware to simulate enterprise network environments. This lab is used for continuous learning in advanced network configuration (routing, switching) and security testing.
• Simulated Penetration Testing: Regularly simulates penetration testing scenarios against my own lab environment to enhance my practical cybersecurity skills and test the effectiveness of defensive measures.
• IP Camera Monitoring: Used the lab to test and monitor various IP camera setups, further enhancing my specialized knowledge in surveillance system networking.

3. Enterprise Network & Server Infrastructure Deployment

• Full-Stack Deployment: Led the design and implementation of complete network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) and server environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, backup systems) for both NEXUS Netro Limited and SKYLINK Innovations Limited. This project highlights my ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical deployments from conception to operational readiness.

4. IT Infrastructure Maintenance & Support System

• Process Streamlining: Developed and maintained comprehensive IT support documentation and asset inventory, which streamlined troubleshooting workflows, reduced the mean time to recovery (MTTR), and improved the overall efficiency of IT operations.

5. Surveillance & Security System Integration

• Integrated Security Platform: This project, stemming from my work at Spy Security System, involved the complex integration of CCTV, VMS, and access control systems, demonstrating my ability to manage cross-functional security technologies.
